Meet Bob, your movement coach

Hi friends, I’m Coach Bob! Welcome to Root Function Biomechanics. As a lifelong lacrosse player with a background in massage therapy, I’ve always had a fascination with the way that the human body functions. After seeing my massage clients repetitively for years, I realized that I wanted to help clients get to the root of their injuries and I knew that had to be by learning about proper movement patterns, aka biomechanics.

My search for the best training modalities led me to becoming a human biomechanics specialist, focusing on the patterns that make us unique movers on this planet. When I met my partner Danielle, we knew we had to open a combined chiropractic and movement practice that would allow our clients to experience a full-body restructuring and evolution.

 My other superpower is learning—if I don’t have an answer for you, I will put in the work so that we will figure it out together. 

As your coach, I will be a passionate no-BS teacher while holding space for joy and fun in our training sessions. Finding joy in the smallest things (like my two pugs) is of the utmost importance to me and I hope to show you how to hold that space in your life as well.
Through our training, my aim is for you to feel both safe and strong in your body so that you can pursue your purpose and live your life more fully and authentically. 

  • I coach middle school and high school lacrosse at the school where my parents founded the lacrosse program, Kennett High School.
  • I have been a coaches trainer for USA Lacrosse for three years. 
  • I’m mildly obsessed with pugs (and have two!)
  • I love to bake—my love language is sharing my baked goods with people.

I coach all of my clients from a whole-human, integrated lens, factoring in your unique history, injuries and goals. Sessions are offered either in person if you’re local to southern Chester County or via Zoom. Biomechanics training is likely different from any training you’ve experienced before. We’ll start with an in-depth two hour assessment and then move sequentially each week through exercises designed to unwind years of tension and injuries and rebuild your flexibility and strength from the ground up.

I aim to create a safe and brave space where you are free to show up authentically and honestly as I do the same. My one and only goal is to help you reach yours.
